On June 7, Maruti Suzuki will release the prices for the eagerly anticipated Jimny. The Jimny is Maruti Suzuki’s fourth new SUV introduction in the Indian market within a year, targeting customers searching for a lifestyle SUV.
- Initial 1,000 apartments have been constructed
- beginning of deliveries by mid-June
- Jimny reservations are now at or near the 30,000 level.

Only a petrol-automatic or a petrol-manual powertrain choice with standard AllGrip 4WD are available with Maruti’s Jimny on the market. It’s interesting to note that Maruti has also acknowledged that orders for vehicles with manual and automatic gearboxes are split almost equally.

When the Jimny made its debut in January, reservations began to pour in, and according to Maruti, it already has an order book of 30,000 vehicles, which will be supplied through its Nexa chain of stores. Maruti has stated that it has already produced more than 1,000 units of the SUV since it began series production earlier this month and is in the process of distributing them to the dealers. Once registration and other processes are finished, according to a cursory check with the dealers, the first round of Jimny deliveries might start by mid-June.
