Over the last few months since its launch, we have seen numerous Maruti Suzuki Jimnys being modified in different ways. People have done all kinds of stuff with the Jimny; however, there are some that stand out from the rest. Recently, a few pictures of one of the most insane-looking Jimnys have been shared on the internet. This particular Jimny has been equipped with a set of extremely huge all-terrain tires and a lift kit along with a few other modifications. This Jimny will also be showcased by Maruti Suzuki India Limited as the official vehicle at a major Jimny event.
The pictures of this Maruti Suzuki Jimny with unique modifications have been shared by Rattan Dhillon on their page. The post has been shared with a caption stating, “We, ‘Gerrari Offroaders,’ led by Mr. Kabir Waraich, has crafted a standout Monster Jimny, set to take the spotlight at the Maruti Suzuki Jimny event, “Rock and Road,” as the official vehicle to showcase by Maruti Suzuki.” The two pictures shared show this extremely unique and imposing-looking Jimny parked.
What modifications has this Jimny received?
As of yet, the exact list and specifications of the modifications done on this Jimny have not been shared. However, from the pictures, we can note that the main highlight of this particular Jimny is the addition of brand-new mud-terrain tires with new bead-lock-style alloy wheels. It can also be noted that this Jimny has been given a lift kit to accommodate these massive wheels and tires. Apart from these, it can also be observed that the stock bumper has been cut off so that these bigger tires can turn without rubbing onto the bumper.
In addition, the car has been given a snorkel on the right A-pillar, which helps in increasing the water wading capacity of any vehicle. Most likely, the car has also been given suspension upgrades as well to withstand the added weight of the new wheels and tires. Additionally, it has also been stated in the comments of the post that this Jimny will be receiving a number of engine and tuning modifications for an increase in power. This is because the added weight of all the other modifications could stress the less powerful engine that the Jimny comes from the factory.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny engine
The Jimny from Maruti Suzuki comes equipped with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. This tried and tested engine from Maruti Suzuki produces a maximum power of 104 PS and 134.6 Nm of torque. This engine comes with two transmission options – a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic. The Jimny in India is offered in two variants. The first is the base Zeta variant that starts at Rs 10.74 lakh, and the other is the Alpha variant, which starts at Rs 12.69 lakh. The most expensive variant of the Jimny, which is the Alpha Automatic variant with the dual-tone paint scheme, is priced at Rs 15.05 lakh.
