Since its debut, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny has rapidly gained popularity in the country. This lifestyle off-roader boasts impressive capabilities, and enthusiasts are taking it to new heights through customization. A recent online video showcases a remarkable modification to a Jimny, featuring off-road suspension enhancements, alloy wheels, and a robust bull bar, making it ready to conquer challenging trails.
Presented by Tread Trails on YouTube, the video showcases the transformation of a vibrant Kinetic Yellow Jimny. The customization journey begins with the installation of a comprehensive Ironman suspension lift kit, providing improved off-road prowess. Additionally, the Jimny now sports 15-inch bead-lock style American Racing alloy wheels, complemented by 31.5-inch BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tires.
The presenter notes that this setup is now permanent, having replaced the initial 1.5-inch spacer used for lift. Further modifications include the addition of a functional snorkel, thoughtfully placed on the front right A-pillar. The presenter lauds this snorkel as the best they’ve encountered, emphasizing its straightforward installation, which involved removing the bonnet and cowl, snapping it securely in place, replacing a plastic component.
Beneath the bonnet, the presenter reveals the snorkel’s piping, acknowledging its potential for improvement. The video proceeds to showcase the newly-installed full metal front bumper—an ARB replica bumper that exudes rugged toughness. To enhance visibility, two Light Force 240 halogen lamps will soon be added to the bumper.
The presenter highlights that the bumper has not been completely fitted yet, as they’re in the process of test-fitting it to ensure an optimal look. Subsequently, the video captures the team painting the area behind the bumper and completing its installation.
