After the pricing was revealed, more people booked the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny price news

Before; 92 reservations each day; after; 15!

More than 31,000 reservations have been made for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny since the company began taking them in January 2023. Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer for Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, claims that there has been an increase in bookings after the PRICING RELEASE on June 7 despite rumours that the Jimny is an overpriced product.

According to Srivastava in an interview with India Today, the new automobile is now receiving 151 bookings each day as opposed to 92 before the price announcements.

We have more than 31,000 reservations so far. The average number of bookings per day has increased following the pricing announcement on June 7. Currently, we receive roughly 151 reservations each day as opposed to 92 reservations per day before to the pricing announcement. Therefore, after the price announcement, the acceptance appears to have increased,” added Srivastava.

Maruti Suzuki revealed a week ago that the Jimny will have an ex-showroom starting price of Rs. 12.74 lakh and a top-end model priced at Rs. 15.05 lakh.

People first claimed that the Jimny pricing starts at Rs. 12.74 lakh whereas the Thar price starts at Rs. 10.54 lakh when we first revealed the price. The Jimny appears to be a lot stronger offer there, but when they looked into the specifics, they would have understood how to compare apples with apples, stated Srivastava in the interview.

Jimny has no rivals.

There isn’t technically another 5-door 4X4 SUV on the market right now. Although the Jimny and Thar are comparable, the Jimny is more suited to buyers who are searching for a car for everyday usage due to the absence of doors for the back passengers.

Srivastava made a similar observation, stating, “The Jimny is a 5-door SUV, but the Thar is not. Additionally, the Thar you are considering costs Rs 10.54 lakh for the 2WD version. Compared to the Thar’s two airbags, the Jimny features six airbags and a standard 4WD. The number of reservations has increased after the pricing was announced because customers have likely agreed that this price is reasonable when all of the above variables are taken into account.

However, first-time automobile purchasers are not particularly interested in Jimny. People who want to replace their present automobile or who are seeking to buy a second one are usually the ones who are interested in it.
